To apply to a housing cooperative or non-profit organization, first consult the Housing Cooperativse and Non-Profit Organizations directory for your area, then contact the cooperatives you have selected and ask for your name to be placed on their waiting list.

You can also contact the Technical resource group in your municipality or region for assistance in identifying suitable cooperatives.

If you would like to create your own housing cooperative and meet your own housing needs at the same time, you may be interested in the program that brings together public, community and private resources in order to produce social and community housing units for low to moderate income households.
