The Société d’Habitation du Québec’s (SHQ) Residential Adaptation Assistance Program (RAAP) is for people with disabilities, i.e. individuals with a deficiency causing a significant and persistent disability, who are likely to encounter obstacles in performing everyday activities.
Its goal is to allow the person with a disability to enter and leave their home, to access the essential rooms of their home and to perform activities of everyday life safely.
This program provides financial assistance to the owners of a dwelling occupied by a person with a disability so that the adaptation work can be carried out.
Any person with a disability who is limited in carrying out their everyday activities at home can benefit from the program, provided that they:
